Johnny Walker : le grand corps impr\u00e9visible des mi-lourds UFC<\/h2>\n

En f\u00e9vrier 2019, Johnny Walker met 15 secondes \u00e0 exp\u00e9dier Justin Ledet. Trois combats, trois finitions au premier round, trois bonus Performance of the Night d’affil\u00e9e : \u00e0 son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 l’UFC, le Br\u00e9silien de Belford Roxo (n\u00e9 le 30 mars 1992) ressemblait au prochain monstre des mi-lourds. La suite a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus accident\u00e9e \u2014 et c’est justement ce qui rend son parcours int\u00e9ressant.<\/p>\n

Un gabarit hors-norme<\/h3>\n

1,96 m pour 2,08 m d’envergure : Walker domine physiquement la quasi-totalit\u00e9 de la division. Ceinture marron de JJB, mais c’est debout qu’il fait mal \u2014 la grande majorit\u00e9 de ses victoires sont des KO\/TKO, et beaucoup tombent au premier round. Son style est anguleux, fait de coups venus d’angles impr\u00e9vus, de coups de pied et de genoux saut\u00e9s. Quand \u00e7a touche, \u00e7a finit le combat. Quand \u00e7a rate, \u00e7a laisse des trous.<\/p>\n

Les d\u00e9buts canon (2018-2019)<\/h3>\n

Rep\u00e9r\u00e9 au Dana White’s Contender Series le 11 ao\u00fbt 2018, Walker encha\u00eene d\u00e8s ses vrais d\u00e9buts UFC : KO au premier round de Khalil Rountree Jr. le 17 novembre 2018, puis le TKO express sur Ledet le 2 f\u00e9vrier 2019. Le 2 mars 2019 \u00e0 l’UFC 235, il signe le combat qui l’a rendu culte : un genou saut\u00e9 sur Misha Cirkunov, TKO au premier round, troisi\u00e8me bonus de suite. Le hic ? En c\u00e9l\u00e9brant avec un mouvement de breakdance, il se luxe l’\u00e9paule. Le symbole parfait du personnage : g\u00e9nial et casse-cou.<\/p>\n

Le mur du top 10<\/h3>\n

Le r\u00e9veil est rude. Corey Anderson le stoppe au premier round le 2 novembre 2019. Walker se rel\u00e8ve \u2014 KO de Ryan Spann en septembre 2020 \u2014 mais bute ensuite sur les vrais cadres : d\u00e9cision perdue contre Thiago Santos (octobre 2021), puis KO au premier round encaiss\u00e9 face \u00e0 Jamahal Hill le 19 f\u00e9vrier 2022. Le sch\u00e9ma se r\u00e9p\u00e8te : flamboyant contre les outsiders, fragile contre l’\u00e9lite.<\/p>\n

Hauts et bas face aux meilleurs<\/h3>\n

Son sommet, il le situe lui-m\u00eame au 13 mai 2023 : d\u00e9cision unanime ma\u00eetris\u00e9e sur Anthony Smith, un combat o\u00f9 il pique de loin sans s’exposer. Mais le passage face \u00e0 Magomed Ankalaev r\u00e9sume ses galb\u00e8res : no-contest \u00e0 l’UFC 294 (21 octobre 2023) apr\u00e8s un genou ill\u00e9gal, puis KO aux poings au deuxi\u00e8me round dans la revanche du 13 janvier 2024. Volkan Oezdemir le coupe ensuite d’un crochet au premier round le 22 juin 2024.<\/p>\n

Rebond, revers, et cap sur les lourds<\/h3>\n

Le 23 ao\u00fbt 2025 \u00e0 Shanghai, il r\u00e9pond : TKO de Zhang Mingyang au deuxi\u00e8me round, \u00e0 coups de low-kicks et de poings, avec un nouveau bonus Performance of the Night. \u00c9lan bris\u00e9 net le 11 avril 2026 \u00e0 l’UFC 327 (Miami), o\u00f9 Dominick Reyes lui souffle une d\u00e9cision partag\u00e9e serr\u00e9e. D\u00e9sormais install\u00e9 \u00e0 Las Vegas chez Xtreme Couture, il change carr\u00e9ment de division : son premier combat chez les poids lourds est programm\u00e9 contre Ante Delija \u00e0 l’UFC Belgrade, le 1er ao\u00fbt 2026. \u00c0 34 ans, son bilan affiche 22-10 (1 NC) \u2014 un puncheur capable de finir n’importe qui sur un round, qui doit prouver qu’il peut durer cinq.<\/p>\n
