Les m\u00e9decins lui d\u00e9conseillaient la comp\u00e9tition. Il a quand m\u00eame fait de la lutte son m\u00e9tier, se forge un record de 109 victoires pour 10 d\u00e9faites au lyc\u00e9e, puis d\u00e9croche deux titres nationaux NJCAA \u00e0 Northeastern Oklahoma A&amp;M avant de rejoindre Oklahoma State University \u2014 la m\u00eame \u00e9cole qui a produit Daniel Cormier. Le contrat UFC est sign\u00e9 le soir m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<h3>Trois combats, trois finishes, z\u00e9ro d\u00e9faite \u00e0 l&rsquo;UFC<\/h3>\n<p>Le 11 janvier 2025, \u00e0 l&rsquo;UFC Fight Night Dern vs. Ribas 2, Smith explose Preston Parsons d&rsquo;une gauche d\u00e9vastante \u00e0 1:13 du premier round. Premier grand KO de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;UFC. Six mois plus tard, le 29 juin 2025 \u00e0 l&rsquo;UFC 317, il \u00e9touffe Niko Price avec un rear-naked choke \u00e0 4:03 du deuxi\u00e8me round \u2014 une soumission qui l&rsquo;a lui-m\u00eame surpris tant il est habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 finir debout. Le 21 f\u00e9vrier 2026, \u00e0 l&rsquo;UFC Houston, il d\u00e9mant\u00e8le Josiah Harrell en position dominante, lui ass\u00e9nant coudes et poings au sol jusqu&rsquo;au TKO \u00e0 3:01 du premier round. Bilan UFC : 3-0, trois finishes. Bilan total : 12-0.<\/p>\n<h3>Style et perspective<\/h3>\n<p>Smith impose sa lutte de niveau olympique pour cr\u00e9er des angles de frappe, pas simplement pour plaquer au sol. Avec 92 % de r\u00e9ussite aux takedowns (stats UFC) et 68 % de pr\u00e9cision en percussion, le welterweight d&rsquo;1,78 m fait peser une double menace r\u00e9elle.
